DOWNS, John - CW - Putnam

Died on July 14, 1892 of cancer after a long sickness at his late residence of Putnamville, John Downs. Deceased was one of the old residents of South Putnam and was highly esteemed. The funeral took place on July 15; interment at Forest Hill Cemetery; Putnamville Post GAR buried the deceased comrade with honors of the order. - kbz
